ISLAMABAD, Pakistan — Authorities have failed to control the spread of fierce fire on Margalla hills, which erupted on Sunday night for the second time in this week.
Dry, windy climate and current raging winds have caused the fire to spread rapidly.
CDA officials were busy trying to contain the rapidly spreading fire.
Fire brigade vehicles were employed but due to difficult terrain some affected areas were simply inaccessible, hence making the operation difficult.
Timber mafia is a strong suspect who cut a large number of trees and sets fire to the environs to hide any trace of their crime but till now the fire eruption on these serene hills remain a mystery.
