Burn Ban In Effect In City Of Forest Following Hurricane

Scott County, USA — Due to dry conditions and the large amount of debris left by Hurricane Katrina, the City of Forest Fire Department has announced a burn ban effective Sept. 13.
At present conditions are favorable for grass/brush fires to burn out of control in a short amount of time.
The City of Forest Fire Department feels that this burn ban is a proactive measure in preventing property damage inside the City of Forest.
The burn ban will be in effect until authorities determine that conditions have improved to safe levels.
