RIZE – Forest fire broke out in Ardesen Township in Black Sea city of Rize devastating 100 hectares of forested area, it was reported on Monday.

Fire fighters, teams of Environment and Forest Directorate and gendarmery participated the efforts to put out the fire.

The fire could be taken under control despite the difficulties stemming from the steep structure of the area.

Cooling efforts continue in the region.
