Günter Helas

Günter Helas is senior scientist at the Biogeochemistry Department of the Max Planck Institute for Chemistry in Mainz, Germany. He is interested in aerosol, ozone and related components in the atmosphere which among others may derive from vegetation burning and have influences on biogeochemical cycling of trace components. His field work brought him into contact with many similarly interested persons all over the world. He has a honorary professorship at the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, South Africa
