Network Coordination and Regional Wildland Fire Management Coordination
In June 2004 representatives of South American countries met in Curitiba, Paraná, Brazil, to formally establish partnerships and a regional network to enhance international cooperation in wildland fire management. The foundation meeting of the network was held in conjunction with the 3rd South American Symposium on Wildland Fire Control and the 7th Joint Technical Meeting FUPEF/SIF/IPEF on Wildland Fire Control, 14-17 June 2004, Universida de Federal do Paraná, Curitiba, Brazil.
