Global to regional fire weather forecasts are updated monthly by the ECPC. Background and methodology of the forecasts are described in detail by J.Roads et al. 1997: Int. Forest Fire News No.17.
The GFMC displays the global ECPC Fire Weather Forecast. This example allows a quicklook and usually provides a monthly total forecast.
Fire Weather Index (FWI) monthly forecast.
The monthly forecasted totals refer to 00:00 hrs UTC which is local noon at dateline (180° longitude).

Occasional unavailability of Fire Weather Index (FWI) maps may be possible due to system errors
Detailed monthly forecasts (products) of a variety of parameters are generated for the global domain and specifically for regions (USA and Canada). The products can be accessed directly at ECPC Fire Weather Index Forecast (for more information and user instruction select Background Info).
