GFMC / IWPM / UNISDR Global Wildland Fire Network Bulletins

The Global Wildland Fire Network Bulletin is a product of the Global Fire Monitoring Center (GFMC), the former UNECE/FAO International Forest Fire News (IFFN), the International Wildfire Preparedness Mechanism (IWPM) and the Global Wildland Fire Network, both providing a Voluntary Commitment to the implementation of the Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction and the Science and Technology Partnership of the United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction (UNDRR). Global Wildland Fire Network Bulletins provide primarily the Annual Global Wildland Fire Fatalities and Damages Reports, which is based on the daily global evaluation of media (newspaper, radio broadcasts and TV) published on the internet, as well as agency reports and correspondents of the Global Wildland Fire Network from throughout the world. Apart of fatalities and injuries the Annual Reports since 2012 include other damages and consequences of wildfires, particularly those that are affecting people, property, infrastructures and livelihood of people, including damages to agricultural products and livestock.
