Current forest fires in Sweden

On August 4 2014, theOperational Land Imager (OLI) on Landsat 8 captured this natural-color image of the fire on Sweden. Many smoke plumes can be seen billowing nothwest. The burn scar can be seen in brown, and light green are farmlands, while dark green are forests. Fallow fields are yellow areas.

In late July an uncommonly massive fire started on Sweden as extremely warm and humid conditions primed the vegetation so a fire could start and spread rapidly.
There have been reports of the fire resprout on August 10.
