A coastal wildfire in South Carolina burns homes near Myrtle Beach as reported by ABC news. By Thursday morning 23 April the National Interagency Fire Center reports the fire had grown to 15,000 acres. A smoke plume can be seen in this NOAA-15 satellite image taken at 2215 UTC on 22 April 2009.
