Thefire expert deployed by the Global Fire Monitoring Center (GFMC) to Kosovo onSunday 29 July 2007, on request of UNDP and the OCHA-UNEP Joint Environment Unithas met with the UNDP task force and the Kosovo Situation Centre, and iscurrently conducting an aerial reconnaissance of the fires in Kosovo. Aftermeetings with UNDP, KFOR headquarters, NATO, EU and with UNMIK a request forfurther assistance will be formulated today.
