The satellite image was taken on 11 January 2007and shows possible hundreds of active fires across the northern Africa region,extensive agricultural-related burning takes place each year for several monthsto clear brush and renew pasture grasses. Such burning can cause to have astrong impact on weather, climate, human health, and natural resources.
