USA — CHINO,CA (AP) — Firefighters have been finishing off a roughly200-acre wildfire that flared up early yesterday morning in Corona.
Officials say the blaze began when a pile of manure spontaneously combustedat the Red Star Fertilizer Company.
Firefighters say the so-called Red Star Fire consisted of a main 175-acrefire and several smaller ones burning in Prado Regional Park, the Prado BasinPark and the Mill Creek Drainage basin.
A total of 400 firefighters, backed by four air tankers and severalhelicopters worked all day yesterday to contain the blaze.
No injuries have been reported and officials say no structures werethreatened.
