Haze lingered over the Korean Peninsula on 10 October 2006, whenthe Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) on NASA’s Aqua satellite captured thisimage. In this picture, the haze appears slightly less intense than the previousday’s pollution.

As with the pollution on October 9, however, it may have resulted partly from Sumatra’s and Borneo’s fires.
