Agricultural burning and surface fires in dry deciduous forests in northwest India can be seen in this ModerateResolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) image captured by the Aquasatellite on 18 October 2004. For comparison: Fire activities in the same region have been depicted by the ModerateResolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) (Aquasatellite) on 20 October 2003.
