Fires in Central America

The following MODIS scenes show fires burning in Mexico on 09 May 2004. Images are prepared by the Mesoamerican Monitoring and Visualization System (SIAM). The Terra satellite passes over the region at approximately 10:30 am local mean solar time and the Aqua satellite at about 1:30 pm local mean solar time.
