Statewide ban on sale and use of fireworks

Firework Ban: On order from the State Fire Marshal, the sale and use of fireworks is hereby suspended until further notice. There is also a burn ban for all open fires, including campfires.

Boundary Fire: The dozer and hand line around Haystack has been completed. The line runs north, up Poker Creek, then west to Caribou Creek. The line then continues south to the end of Haystack. The evacuation remains in place.

Wolf Creek Fire: The fire management team will hold a public meeting tonight at 7 pm at the Chena Hot Springs Lodge to provide an update on fire suppression and structure protection.
