Burning Stubbles Cause Fires in Several Towns and Villages(ROUNUP)

Sofia, Bulgaria — Burning stubbles caused fires in a few towns and villages. Dry grass plots caught fire near the village of Kokalyane, near Sofia. 

The National Service “Fire and Emergency Safety” /NSFES/ received a signal about the fire at 03:16 p.m. Three fire trucks were sent to the scene. The fire was extinguished. About 1000 decares of dry grass burnt in the fire, but no damages were caused to the forest. It is supposed that the fire was a result of tourists’negligence.

There were burning stubbles near the town of Pernik in the area between the villages of Planinitsa, Yardzhilovtsi and Selishten dol. Fire trucks were sent to the scene. The local resident alsohelped.

A fire erupted also in the village of Voluyak, near Sofia. It was again caused by burning stubbles. Fire-fighting teams reacted in due time and extinguished the fire.
