The European Forest Fire Information System (EFFIS) supports the services in charge of the protection of forests against fires in the EU countries and provides daily maps of latest fire activities and fire perimeters:

A Centre of Excellence for Earth Observation based monitoring of Natural Disasters in South-eastern Europe has been established in the National Observatory of Athens (NOA).
