CURRENT SITUATION:
Minor fire activity occurred last week in the Southern Area.
OUTLOOK:
Southern California’s weather will be cool and dry. High temperatures will be in the 30s (-1°C) and 40s (4°C) in the mountains and 40s (4°C) to 50s (10°C) in the valleys, with some 60s (15°C) along the coast.
Florida’s high pressure will give way to a cold front on Friday bringing scattered rain showers across the state through Saturday. Dry weather will return on Sunday followed by another cold front with scattered showers by Tuesday. High temperatures will range from the 60s (15°C) in the north to the 80s (26°C) in the south.

Some remarks to the NOAA AVHRR satellite imagery: The high-temperature events depicted by satellite in the Southeast must not necessarily be wildfires. At this time of the year prescribed burning operations are conducted routinely.
