Forest Fire in Turkey: 23 July 1999

Report by GFMC correspondent Ertugrul Bilgili, Trabzon University:
Several fires have been reported to be burning. All of the fires are either put out or under control. Of all the fires, only one fire burned an area of fifty hectares, the rest being less then 2 hectares.
This part concerns the overall fire situation in Turkey:
