The following significant events were identified by Satellite Analysis Branch meteorologists and reviewed by the OSEI support team of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA):

Latest Satellite Image

Forest fires and land-use fires in Viet Nam, including the fire disaster zone in U Minh Thuong National Park, acquired by the Moderate-resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) sensor on 16 April 2002.
