According the INCIDENT MANAGEMENT SITUATION REPORT of 12 September 1999 following basic fire data were given for CANADA:

There are 9 forest fires burning in the province today.
No fires have been extinguished in the past 24 hours.
No new fires have been reported.
Total number of fires to date this year is 723.
Total to date last year was 1226, FIVE year average is 666.
