Regarding the INCIDENT MANAGEMENT SITUATION REPORT of 1 August 1999 following basic fire data were given for CANADA:

Saskatchewan Daily Forest Fire Situation Report (10:00 AM Saturday, 31 July 1999):

There are 26 forest fires burning in the province today.
7 fires have been extinguished in the past 24 hours.
NO new fires have been reported.
Total number of fires to date this year is 562.
Total to date last year was 966, FIVE year average is 515.
