Viet Nam Fire Emergency

GFMC Update 25 April 2002, 06:00 GMT
According to the reports of the field assessment team, the mission is completed due to the fact that rain has helpedto bring thee fires under control. Firefighting forces are being demobilized currently.The assessment mission will meet with the Ministry for Agriculture and Rural Development in Hanoi, on 26 April2002, for debriefing. More news will follow on this by next week.
