Aim of the workshop: “An opportunity for social science researchers to discuss current disaster research, especially methodological and conceptual issues”
Sessions will include communities, understanding risk, social and economic
assessment and a number of cross cutting issues such as volunteerism.
The Bushfire CRC is starting in July 2003, so fire will be a major theme.
Domestic air travel and accommodation costs will be covered by Emergency Management Australia (EMA). Places are limited.
