The 1999 AFAC Annual Conference will be hosted by Victoria’s Country Fire Authority, Metropolitan Fire and Emergency Services Board and Department of Natural Resources and Environment. The Conference theme is: Priority Community Safety.

An excellent field of international and local speakers will offer insights into how effective partnerships with our communities can be built and maintained
and how strategies through which community safety can be achieved through cooperative effort can be developed and implemented.

In session five on Sunday, 17 October 1999, a contribution will be held on the topic: “Prescribed Fire in the Natural Environment in the USA”, Jose Cruz, USA.
