Aerial Fire Fighting 2015
Conference & exhibition with live aerial demonstrations and static display
Addressing aerial wildfire suppression in Eastern European nations
In 2007 Croatia was devastated by a series of fires that struck their coastline after a heat wave which covered the entire Southern and Eastern Europe. The drought and southern winds helped spread 750 fires all down the Dalmatia Coast devastating a total area covering 159,000 hectares. Similar occurrences in 2012 crippled their vital tourist industry.
Now, despite wet spring weather, Eastern Europe again faces drought potential in the summer of 2014 and so the scene is set for wildfires to stretch ground fire crews and aircrews to the limit across the region.
In this context, the latest in this international series, AFF 2015, relocates to the beautiful ancient Roman City of Zadar in Croatia. Benefiting from Government endorsement and the support of the Ministry of Defence and the National Protection and Rescue Directorate (DUZS), AFF 2015 remains the must attend show for international aerial fire fighting experts.
Previous conferences have been organised in Greece, Italy, Spain & France, but the 2015 European edition of the Aerial Firefighting Conference is themed to focus global attention on wildfire aerial response in Eastern Europe.
Dr. Sc. Mr. Jadran Perinic, Director of National Protection and Rescue Directorate (DUZS) says We are delighted that the National Protection and Rescue Directorate (DUZS) are able to host the worlds leading event in Aerial Firefighting in cooperation with our Ministry of Defence.
