Through the Haze The Role of Fire on the Prairie

The fourth annual Kansas Natural Resources Conference will explore the use of fire as indicated by the theme Through the Haze The Role of Fire on the Prairie. The conference is Thursday and Friday, 20-21 January 2011, at the Airport Hilton, Wichita. On Thursday afternoon professionals will address prescribed burning by discussing the science of smoke modeling and liability issues. A panel will provide an overview and discussion of the recently adopted Flint Hills Smoke Management Plan. On Friday, attendees will have the opportunity to select from over 40 breakout sessions on smoke management as well as a number of other natural resource subjects and also view over 20 posters.
