AFAC’s annual conference, currently run in conjunction with the Bushfire CRC, is among the largest on the Australasian conference calendar. It is one of AFAC’s most important activities, fulfilling a number of crucial functions:
- Sharing of information and creation of new knowledge
- Professional development forum for fire and emergency services
- Networking between emergency management professionals
- Exposure to trade suppliers
The conference features international and local speakers across all areas of interest to the industry. It also features a large trade suppliers exhibition and a major poster exhibition. Trade support of the conference as well as many AFAC/Bushfire CRC projects is substantial.
2010 Conference
The industry’s premier annual Conference, the 2010 AFAC, Bushfire CRC Conference will be staged in Darwin in the Northern Territory.
