It is a pleasure to invite youto The Mercosur Forest and Wild Grass Fires 2nd Congress held by theNational Parks Friends Association
VENUE
City of Malargüe – Provincia de Mendoza, Argentina – 7th to 10th November 2006.
OBJECTIVES
- To encourage debate about information, techniques, and professional experiences related to the prevention and fight against forest fires.
- To make people aware of their share in responsibility in this matter.
- To learn and analyse the effects of the severe fires impact on biodiversity, open air spaces, as well as the concequences for the socio-economic aspects of everyday life.
- To obtain previous data and draw conclusions that allow us to design strategies and plans withing the Mercosur, in order to prevent and fight forest and wild grass fires.
CONGRESS PROGRAM

This Formal Program will be complemented with excursions, guided tours

LANGUAGES
Oficial Languages are Spanishand Portuguese (without simultaneous translation). Presentations or summaries inanother language won´t be received. Lecturers who wish to dissert orpresent the summary in another language will have to to take responsibility ofthe costs of the translation.
