The Fire Working Group calls for panel presenters. Suggested topics include the theme Fire Management at the Wildland Urban Divide. Submissions to the theme are encouraged and may include:
- Using GIS to define the wildland urban divide
- Using GIS to plan fire protection activities at the wildland urban divide
- Appropriate silviculture adjacent to and throughout the wildland urban divide
- Appropriate fuel treatment activities at the wildland urban divide
- Utilization of small diameter materials removed from the wildland urban divide
- Insect and disease considerations when treating fuel at the wildland urban divide
- Mitigating impacts to wildlife when treating fuel at the wildland urban divide
- Overcoming social considerations when planning fuel treatment at the wildland urban divide
Submissions are sought in all of the following six broad areas:
