Aerial Firefighting International Conference and Exhibition 2009

Aerial Firefighting International Conference and Exhibition

5 – 6 November 2009, Rome, Italy

The Conference is organized by Tangent Link in association with:
United Nations International Strategy for Disaster Response (UN-ISDR)
Global Fire Monitoring Center (GFMC)

Human vulnerability and environmental effects of many wildfires are a result of demographic growth, land-use changes and climate variability. While the effects of these wildfires can be alleviated through early warning, wildfires are the one natural disaster that can be stopped in their tracks through both swift ground firefighting response and robust aerial fire fighting technologies.

Hosting the fourth Aerial Firefighting Conference in the series is Italy – which annually feels the effects of wildfires. With a powerful line-up of presentations from international experts the Aerial Firefighting International Conference is an important addition to your diary.

Presentations have been confirmed from Italy, France, Poland, Hungary, Russia, Spain, USA & Turkey, with others expected from Argentina, Greece, Australia, South Africa and Poland.  The conference will be widely represented by International aerial fire fighting operators, fixed and rotary-winged aircraft manufacturers, aerial fire fighting system manufacturers and government officers from Forestry, Civil Protection, and the Environment from approximately 25 countries.
