Bonner County Sheriff’s office arrests man suspected of intentionally setting multiple wildland fires over past two years

USA – PRIEST RIVER, ID – On Wednesday, detectives with the Bonner County Sheriff’s Office arrested 23-year-old Ryan N. Greene, of Priest River, ID for multiple counts of arson in connection to multiple wildfires that were intentionally set on Idaho public lands and U.S. Forest Service property in the Priest River area over the past two years.

According to a press release from the Bonner County Sheriff’s Office, Greene was identified as a suspect during a joint investigation with the Idaho Department of Lands, Idaho State Fire Marshal, U.S. Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Forest Service, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms & Explosives (ATF).

“This investigation has been a top priority for our office, due to the high fire danger, and extreme risk of death to the public,” read a statement from the Bonner County Sheriff’s Office. “I’m very proud of the investigative work of our detectives and our partner agencies.”
