The Global Fire Monitoring Center (GFMC) intends to build up an internet-based global wildland fire photography archive. The archive will be developed successively by digitizing the GFMC slide archive with photographs from more than 40 countries. Time and personnel constraints, however, have delayed this project.
Several international websites provide excellent wildland fire photographs. The journal Fire Management Today announces the annual wildland fire photo contest. Links are provided further down.
