Lambayeque: Efforts continue to extinguish forest fire in Pítipo

PERU – Staff of the Ferreñafe Volunteer Firefighters Companies No. 174 and Illimo No. 149, continue with the works of extinction of the forest fire that began the day before in the area of ​​Tambo Real, district of Pítipo, province of Ferreñafe, Lambayeque region, managing to control so far the emergency by 90%.

According to the latest report from the National Institute of Civil Defense (Indeci), the forest fire has destroyed 40 hectares of private land cover and dry forests of the Batán Grande Natural Reserve Park.

The firefighters, personnel of the Civil Defense Office of the District Municipality of Pítipo, Serenazgo of the District Municipality of Pítipo and residents of the Tambo Real Sector, continue trying to extinguish the isolated fire sources.

Meanwhile, personnel from the Civil Defense Office of the District Municipality of Pítipo initiated the Damage Assessment and Needs Analysis (EDAN).
