Red alert declared for forest fire in National Park Conguillío

CHILE : The incident takes place inside the National Park Conguillío located in the region of La Araucanía.
For this reason, the Conaf has asked the Onemi and the Intendance to activate a Red Alert for the commune of Melipeuco.
According to the technical agencies, the fire occurs inside the National Park Conguillío and the red alert is in effect from Tuesday and until the conditions of the fire so warrant. In this way, we will act to control the situation, given the extent and severity of the event.
It should be noted that due to the situation of forest fires in the Araucanía Region, early warning is maintained for the rest of the area.
Likewise, land brigades of the Conaf cross the place to fight possible foci that would have their origin due to the rays after the electrical storms that affect the cordillerano sector.
Declaran alerta roja por incendio forestal en parque nacional conguillío
CHILE – El siniestro se desarrolla al interior del Parque Nacional Conguillío ubicado en la región de La Araucanía.
Por esta razón, la Conaf ha solicitado a la Onemi y la intendencia que se active una Alerta Roja para la comuna de Melipeuco.
Según explicaron los organismos técnicos, el incendio ocurre dentro del Parque Nacional Conguillío y la alerta roja está vigente a contar desde el martes y hasta que las condiciones del incendio así lo ameriten. De esta forma, se actuará para controlar la situación, dada la extensión y severidad del evento.
Cabe destacar que por la situación de los incendios forestales en la Región de La Araucanía, se mantiene la alerta temprana preventiva para el resto de la zona.
Asimismo, brigadas terrestres de la Conaf recorren el lugar para combatir posibles focos que tendrían su origen producto de los rayos tras las tormentas eléctricas que afectan al sector cordillerano.
