Australia — Residents in northwest Victoria are under threat as a fast-moving grassfire is nearing their homes.
The Country Fire Authority has issued an emergency warning for residents of Mystic Park, Kangaroo Lake and Lake Charm.
The Department of Environment and Primary Industries has told residents it’s too late to leave.
“You are in danger, act now to protect yourself,” a spokesperson warned.
“It is too late to leave. The safest option is to take shelter indoors immediately.”
Crews have closed the train line in a bid to contain the fire to the west side, The Herald Sun reports.
