Mongolia — On 08 May 2012, 15:00, firefighters were caught in the flames when winds suddenly shifted in Bayandun sum of Dornod province, Mongolia. Three firefighters are killed and 2 badly injured
Those injured firefighters were taken to the province hospital and later shifted to the Central hospital in Ulaanbaatar, the National Emergency Management Agency reported today.
According to the report of the NEMA, preliminary estimation indicates that since March 963 ha of forest and 60874 ha of steppe areas burnt in 115 fires.
