Russia — The area of Siberian fires has increased nearly 5 times in one day. Three dozen hot spots were successfully localized, but because of the dry and windy weather 20 new ones flashed up in other places.

Several large fires have been documented in the republic of Tuva. More than a thousand people and 208 vehicles were involved in their elimination. According to the Siberian Emergency Center, in Buryatia, Khakassia, the Trans-Baikal and the Krasnoyarsk Territories, the Novosibirsk and Kemerovo regions, there is a real danger that the flames can spread to homes.

In the coming days, experts predict possible deterioration of the fire hazard in 14 districts of Trans-Baikal, 12 districts of Buryatia, 18 districts of the Altai Territory, 8 districts of the Novosibirsk region, as well as in Khakassia and Kemerovo Oblast and Krasnoyarsk Krai. According to rescuers, the main cause of the fires is the misbehavior of local residents in the forest.
