Nepal — The wildfire that broke out in the Marbhung VDC-based Top Community Forest yesterday posing a threat to 14 houses in the adjoining area is yet to be brought under control.
It is reported that an unidentified gang had set the forest on fire. Houses of Sher Bahadur Bishwokarma Him Bahadur Poudyal Lal Kumar Poudyal Dan Bahadur Poudyal including others are at risk. The locals said as the wind made it more difficult for them to douse the fire they were taking help from security personnel and the neighbouring village folk to extinguish it.
Meanwhile properties worth over Rs 200000 were been destroyed when the house of Nama Pokharel in Jaisithiok VDC caught fire last night.
