USA — Christopher Clark, 26, pleaded guilty to damaging government property in federal court, saying he started a fire in the Beaverhead-Deerlodge National Forest in Montana and then worked on the Forest Service firefighting crew that extinguished the fire.
Prosecutors claim Clark and an accomplice, Kyle Zimmerman, 23, lit beetle-killed trees on fire on October 18, 2009. The fire burned approximately one-tenth of an acre, according to a report by the Associated Press. Clark is due to be sentenced on January 5.
