Australia — The Royal Commission investigating Black Saturday has heard from its last witness.

Over 148 days of evidence, the Royal Commission has heard from 429 witnesses, 105 of them bushfire survivors.

The inquiry will continue to sit for another three weeks.

All of those hearings are either investigating the individual circumstances of the 173 people killed, or final submissions from lawyers.

The commission’s final report is on track to be delivered on Saturday July 31st.
