Forest Fires Destroy Homes in Chile

Chile — A raging forest fire in western Chile turned more dangerous when the flames consumed at least 20 homes, forcing dozens to evacuate.From the ground and air, firefighters have been battling the blazes with little success for several weeks.

So far, the fires have destroyed thousands of hectares, but didn’t start affecting houses until Saturday.On Friday, one local official said the fires had been started by “human acts”, but did not elaborate.The investigation continues.
