Brunei Darussalam — A bush nearby the Gerai Tamu Telisai caught on fire yesterday morning.

Six officers and personnel from the Tutong Fire and Rescue Department, which was led by Senior Fire Officer, Abd Aziz bin Hj Jumat, came to the rescue and controlled the fire from spreading.

In less than 20 minutes, the fire was under control thanks to the various tactics used by the fire personnel.

As Brunei is currently experiencing hot weather, many places are dry and there is a high risk for bush fire to occur.

The public are reminded not to throw cigarette butts at the bushes or nearby road as it can ignite fire.
