Chandel village saved from being ravaged by wildfire

A wildfire broke out yesterday and extended to the village of Chirangching Khunkha around 7 am to 11 am three kilometers away from Chandel police station in Chandel district.
The Fire Brigade personnel from Chandel helped in controlling the fire and the fire was extinguished with help from all the villagers, informed LV Joy, secretary of the village authority Chandel district. There was no harmful damage and casualty in the fire.
Shemy village chief expressed his hearty gratitude to the fire service and Churangching villagers for helping control the fire and save the village in time.
