USA — Hundreds of people have been evacuated from their homes as a bush fire rages across thousands of acres of Californianhillside.

The fire started in the Anaheim hills, around 56km (35 miles) southeast of Los Angeles, and spread south and west fuelled by strong hot winds and dryvegetation. Two firefighters suffered minor injuries and at least three houses so far have been charred by theblaze.

Authorities are investigating the possibility the fire was started by a torched stolenvehicle.
