International exchange and training opportunities in fire management directly under the IWPM or by other initiatives are offered in 2015-2016

Some Recent Examples of Successful Exchange
The concept of the IWPM is to encourage countries and their agencies, academia and non-government organizations to share their expertise in capacity building in landscape fire management. Most of the selected examples have been conducted or facilitated by GFMC, others being result of bilateral exchange agreements. The listed activities do not reflect the complete spectrum of successful projects and programmes at national and international levels.
