GFMC Teaching in Fire Ecology and Fire Management


Die Arbeitsgruppe Feuerökologie / Global Fire Monitoring Center (GFMC) bieten jährlich seit 1975 Kurse in “Feuerökologie und Feuer-Management” für Studierende an der Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg an (Fakultät für Umwelt und Natürliche Ressourcen; zuvor Fakultät für Forst- und Umweltwissenschaften; zuvor Forstwissenschaftliche Fakultät) und durch Gastvorlesungen an anderen Fakultäten der Universität Freiburg und deutschlandweit an.

Details der jährlichen Veranstaltung an der Universität Freiburg wurden bis 2021 auf der Website des Global Fire Monitoring Center (GFMC) angekündigt (der jährliche Kurs wird wegen mangelndem Interesse der Fakultät seit 2022 nicht mehr angeboten):

History: In the 1970s and 1980s the precursor institution of GFMCV – the Fire Ecology Research Group at the Institute of Forest Zoology, Faculty for Forest Sciences, Freiburg University – offered training for students in obtaining the hunting license including practical shooting (snapshot of 1985).
