Organized by: The Hellenic Fire Corp under the auspices of the Ministry of Public Order
Objectives:
- To facilitate the exchange of knowledge, experience and thoughts between the operational organizations of forest fire suppression.
- To offer an opportunity for identifying various organizational models of Forest Firefighting.
- To offer an opportunity for coordination between research and practice.
- To encourage communication between Firefighting Organizations of different structure and capacity, but having one common objective, that of forest fire protection.

Information:
- The Conference is open to all researchers and specialists working in the field of forest fires. Admission is free.
- Official languages are Greek, English and French. Papers and presentations may be in one of these languages. Simultaneous translation will be available during the conference sessions.
- Applications must be submitted by January 30, 2001
- For those wishing to submit a paper for oral presentation at the conference, an abstract of less than 1000 words must be sent for evaluation by the Scientific Committee by January 30, 2001.
- The papers to be included in the proceedings should be received by the Conference Secretariat before February 30, 2001, in final form, according to the guidelines that will be sent to the authors simultaneously with the notification of acceptance.
